Music has always been my passion. I started with my sister when I was a young boy, with some privateclasses;
she was a great support by the way.
From my point of view, I was more interested in melodies and lyrics or something that could move my body. Due to hyperactivity, I had no patience to learn an instrument…
I wanted to move. I already wanted to create, to go beyond: I started playing sports! Nevertheless, deep down, I was already curious and passionate about Theater, Music, Photography, Dance, Arts in General. Luckily, when I turned 13, I “fell in love” with a French Photographer called Pierre Verger. With all respect, I even created a personnel email-address with his name; a mix of my angels
name and him: email@example.com
The way that he was describing Bahia was Fantastic, from Religion to culture: “let us not separate them because they are all connected”. In addition, he defined Bahia as the whole world in one place. Moreover, do not forget he traveled around the world, working everywhere!
Back to myself, among other sports I started to practice Capoeira (Dance combined with Martial Arts from Bahia) and boom! I found something that could work out my body, making me feel free and healthier. I have quit Capoeira; consequently, I started my dance and fitness career a bit late, around 17 years old, but with a suitable body, thanks to Capoeira! Moreover, at 22 years old, I have been engaged in professional dance troupes. I started in Brazil, around Salvador, Bahia and Rio. From there, I danced in London, Vienna, Germany, Tunisia, Palestine and Switzerland, where I also danced in La Traviata (Lausanne Opera House).
In Geneva, I also worked in collaboration with Etienne Frey and Marina Ritz. Due to the fact I did not have many dance contracts in Geneva and that I was plenty of energy inside me, I started back into the fitness industry, as we all need to pay our bills. I taught fitness in Geneva but I was not ready for the city. Too much energy, probably!
I had the certainty that Arts would always remain my passion!
As a result, I went back to London and worked in 2016 for Virgin Active and Third Space, where Faye Edwards was one of my greatest bosses and inspirations. Back to London, I witness again the chaos and the stress of the city that I knew for so many years. In only one year, I got very busy working weekdays and weekends. No private life and no real time to focus on my dance projects. Therefore, I decided to reflect about a situation that was stressing me out too much; Idecided to come back to Geneva but not losing my passion and energy. At that time, Geneva was starting to have a very diverse population and was mixing a bit more.
Early 2017, I went back to Geneva and I restarted everything again, working at Holmes Place, Silhouette (Activ’ Fitness now) and Ecole-club Migros who gave me my chance and where I started my first classes. I was feeling more comfortable in “my own skin” and was taking the classes as a place to explore myself and as a piece of Art, having more fun and appreciating the music and the people around.
Meanwhile, in 2022, I engaged myself in a complete training to become Pilates instructor. Indeed, Pilates trains the body as an integrated whole, focusing on core, lower body, and upper body strength as well as flexibility and posture. Pilates workouts promote strength, balanced muscle development, flexibility, and increased range of motion for the joints. This is exactly what I want to bring to my clients: passing awareness to their alignment and strengthening neglected postural muscles for their body and mind.
What is B.U MI CASA TU CASA?
Origin and Evolution
“B.U my casa tu casa” is a project for individuals who believe or feel they have a true identification with the three elements that strengthen a human life: Body, Mind and Spirituality.
It is meant to improve our lives, by means of the power of these three essential elements for life in a society.
People are fed up with annoying and fake pieces of information on the Internet that cruelly lack of these essential elements. As human beings we are trying to be ourselves in a society which is getting ill, with too much and untruthful information, forgetting to take a break at least once a day retiring from the exhausting world.
The intention is clearly to put aside, for a moment, the external world and to get into the workshops and classes, socializing, without fears of expressing ourselves in a natural way.
B.U Me Casa Tu Casa : a new start
My deepest thoughts
B.U MI CASA TU CASA, IS MEANT TO COMBINE BODY, MIND AND SOUL WITH CLASSES OF FITNESS, PILATES, DANCE, LIVE MUSIC, YOGA AND STRETCH, MEDITATION AND WHY NOT ARTS EXHIBITIONS ! ALL IN ONE PLACE ALONG DURING WEEKENDS.
A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE COULD SUPPORT EACH OTHER AND BE THEMSELVES.
A PLACE TO GIVE ALSO THE OPPORTUNITY TO PRESENT ARTS AND ARTISTS FROM ALL AROUND THE WORLD AND PARTICULARLY FROM BAHIA IN BRAZIL. A DIFFERENT WAY TO SHOW BRAZILIAN CULTURE: A CULTURAL CARNIVAL!
